Tatverdächtiger nach Angriff auf Frau mit Davidstern-Shirt in Heidelberg gefasst
Drei Tage nachdem er ein Ehepaar in Heidelberg offenbar aus einem politischen Motiv heraus verletzt haben soll, ist der Tatverdächtige gefasst. Der 29 Jahre alte Mann sitzt in einer Justizvollzugsanstalt, wie die Polizei in Mannheim am Freitag mitteilte. Er soll eine Frau an ihrem T-Shirt gepackt und sie aufgefordert haben, es auszuziehen. Auf dem Shirt waren ein Davidstern und der Schriftzug "Bring them home now" zu sehen.
Regierung rechnet mit Verlängerung der Grenzkontrollen
Die Bundesregierung geht davon aus, dass die Kontrollen an den Grenzen zu vier Nachbarländern verlängert werden. "Diese Binnengrenzkontrollen werden voraussichtlich weiter erforderlich sein", sagte ein Sprecher des Bundesinnenministeriums am Freitag in Berlin. Die Grenzkontrollen zu Polen, Tschechien und der Schweiz sind derzeit bis Mitte Dezember befristet, die zu Österreich bis Mitte November. Es sei davon auszugehen, dass die Kontrollen in allen vier Fällen "auch über den Dezember hinaus" nötig seien, sagte der Sprecher.
Gut 20.000 Asylanträge im August - 2024 bisher ein Fünftel weniger Erstanträge
Die Zahl der Asylanträge in Deutschland ist im August auf dem Niveau des Vormonats geblieben. Wie das Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (Bamf) am Freitag mitteilte, wurden insgesamt 20.005 Asylanträge gestellt. Davon waren 18.427 Erstanträge und 1578 Folgeanträge. Im Vergleich zum Vormonat sank die Anzahl der Erstanträge damit um 0,4 Prozent.
